Boca Console Table

The Boca Console Table is a new definition of grandeur in the modern world. Designed with a sleek “Black” finish and a form that blurs the line between classic and modern, it is where intricate floral patterns meet a completely contemporary, polished finish. The Boca console features a slender, elongated body with a skirt of intertwined Arabesque motifs that appear suspended in space. This design ensures that despite its dark hue, the product remains visually light and buoyant. Boca is crafted for spaces that demand a dramatic, bold, and confident element.

Exquisite Handcrafted Artistry

Constructing the Boca is a significant technical challenge for Berssini’s master carpenters, as its entire beauty depends on the finesse and cleanliness of execution.

• Lattice Carving Artistry: Unlike conventional carvings etched onto the wood surface, Boca’s decorations are executed in a “lattice” (Moshabbak) and hollowed-out style. The negative space between the foliage is meticulously removed using fine fretwork saws, allowing light to pass through the console. This technique transforms hardwood into a woven lace of nature.
• Polished Finish: Applying a high-gloss black finish over highly curved and carved surfaces requires extraordinary surface preparation. Any unevenness in sanding is magnified by the reflection of the black paint. The surface of Boca is so polished that it acts like a dark mirror.

Premium Materials

Boca’s delicate appearance and slender legs can only be realized using the most resilient wood types.

• Wooden Structure (Grade AB Beechwood): The entire skeleton and the delicate carvings of this console are sculpted from Grade AB Turkish beechwood.
• Tapered Needle Legs: The legs of the Boca are thick at the top and become extremely slender at the base. Only Grade AB beechwood, with its dense fibers and lack of knots, can support the console’s weight on such a small cross-section without breaking.
• Lattice Strength: In lattice carvings, the wood is at its thinnest. The use of Grade AB ensures these slender networks do not crack due to temperature or humidity changes, maintaining their structural integrity.

Design & Placement

• Decor Style: Ideal for Modern Classic, Art Deco, and Maximalist styles.
• Placement: Excellent for entryways (due to its shallow depth), luxury hotel corridors, or as a focal wall piece in the living room.
• Visual Contrast: Placing this black console against a light-colored wall or patterned wallpaper creates an extraordinary visual contrast.

At Berssini Furniture, you can alter the personality of the Boca. While the high-gloss black finish is its signature, it can be ordered in high-gloss white, gold leaf, silver, or fantasy colors (such as deep navy).
