Bella Side Table

The Bella Side Table is a poetic interpretation of lines dancing through space. More than a simple surface for holding everyday objects, this table resembles a sculptural decorative piece. Its overall form is reminiscent of ancient musical instruments, such as the harp, where three elegantly curved legs emerge from a circular lower platform, gradually taper through the middle, and ultimately connect to the underside of the main tabletop in graceful, scroll-like forms.

These symmetrical curves embrace a turned central column, creating a captivating balance between positive space—the warmth and presence of wood—and negative space—the open areas surrounding the structure. The tabletop features soft, rounded edges that echo the curves of the legs, while its uniform painted finish further enhances the dramatic interplay of light and shadow across the sculptural framework.

Handcrafted & Authentic

Creating the graceful curves of the Bella requires exceptional expertise in woodworking, shaping, and fine surface finishing.

Sculpted Curves

The table’s elongated S-shaped legs are not created through simple heat bending. Instead, they are carefully cut from wide timber sections and then meticulously shaped and refined by hand. The skilled craftsmen at Bersini patiently transform the sharp edges of the wood into smooth, flowing curves, ensuring that every surface is seamless and free from steps or irregularities.

Engineered Stability

Despite the delicate appearance of the legs where they meet the tabletop, the weight distribution of the Bella has been carefully engineered. The connection between the three legs, the central column, and the broad lower platform keeps the center of gravity low, helping prevent tipping even when heavier decorative objects are placed on the table.

Premium Materials & Engineered Construction

For designs that rely on slender and curved structural elements, the density and quality of the wood are essential to long-term durability.

Solid Beech Wood – Grade A-B

All components of the Bella Side Table, from the tabletop to its decorative curved legs, are crafted from Grade A-B Georgian beech wood.

• Resistance to Stress: Grade A-B beech wood, with its dense and long-grained structure, is an excellent choice for curved components subjected to bending stress. Its strength helps minimize the risk of cracking or breakage even in the narrowest sections of the curves.
• Smooth, Refined Surface: The fine, relatively knot-free grain of the wood provides an ideal foundation for high-quality painted finishes, such as matte or glossy black, allowing the final surface to achieve a remarkably smooth and flawless appearance reminiscent of a finely finished piano.

Interior Design Applications

The Bella is designed to soften the rigid, straight lines often found in contemporary architecture.

• Intimate Corners: Thanks to its compact, circular form, the table is an excellent choice for filling empty corners in a living room or for placement between two occasional chairs.
• Artful Contrast: In interiors dominated by modern, linear furniture, Bella’s graceful curves and classical character introduce an artistic and visually engaging contrast.
• A Sculptural Display Surface: The circular tabletop creates an elegant setting for showcasing a decorative object, crystal vase, or a table lamp with a rounded shade.
